Known worldwide, the islands of Porquerolles, Port-Cros, and Le Levant are breathtakingly beautiful. Port-Cros, a listed National Park, is a land and underwater reserve with amazing fauns and flora. The isle of Le Levant, with its dense and unique vegetation, is a naturists' paradise. And then there's Porquerolles , known for its magnificent beaches such as the Silver Beach.

The Saint-Clair district The Painters' Way

On the "PAINTERS' WAY" you can walk in the footsteps of the artists who stayed in the "Saint Clair" district, by following a trail which tells you about the presence between 1892 and 1926 of several great figures in Neo-Impressionist history, such as Théo Van Rysselberghe and Henri-Edmond Cross, and writers such as André Gide and Emile Verhaeren.
The reproductions of their works are presented in showcases all along the 2.5 km trail which winds through the district, and it's possible to do the walk gently in about an hour.

The Mediterranean Garden - Domaine du Royal

This marvellous garden is owned by the Coastal Conservatory. There you can find all the Mediterranean climate plant species of the world: California, Australia, Mexico, Chile, Argentina …
In addition it protects one of the last wild shorelines of the coast. During a walk of about an hour in the company of an expert botanist, or on your own, you'll discover extraordinary plants among the arbutus, the rockroses and the myrtles of the Provencal hills.

The former home of the Neo-Impressionist artist, Théo Van Rysselberghe, has been transformed into an art centre.
